Film Directors - Chapter 1: D.W. Griffith - The Adventures of Dollie (1908)
Okay, Here we go! This is D.W. Griffith’s debut as a film director.
I really liked this! It was cute and sweet…except for the whole little girl getting stolen from her parents by gypsies and being trapped inside a barrel that is plummeting down waterfalls. lol
Oh, I love the part where the father and the boy both hear the little girl inside the barrel. They both stop and listen at the same time. haha.
1908! That was seriously a long time ago. This was only about five years into the whole film industry thing! This is very early in the film making timeline.
