BEST TIME EVER!

I find silent film absolutely fascinating. I am not going to lie, I don’t know if I have the attention span to sit through a lot of it. However, I find the films, actors, and time period very interesting. The way they could tell a story through pantomime was amazing. It was a language that everyone could understand.

I also find it incredibly sad. The characters, stories, the artistry and talent are being forgotten.

These actors and directors were on top of the world and now most of the public have no memory of them. So many voices were never heard. I have so much respect and love for these pioneers of film.

I don’t know why I feel such a deep sadness for them. I get so nostalgic for a time period I was never apart of. I think in a past life I was born at the turn of the century. I probably listened to Ragtime and watched silent films. I probably cut my hair in the 1920’s and was a flapper :D
